We’re very proud of the work our team at Roy Manufacturing recently completed for Dock 59 Apartments in the vibrant Pearl District of Portland, Oregon. This particular project involved the installation of privacy screens for outdoor balconies and the creation of a stunning blackened steel look for the interior foyer. For the outdoor balconies, we designed and manufactured 32 privacy screens using 1/8″ aluminum. The screens were meticulously crafted with obround perforations measuring 3/16″ x 1″, offering a balance of privacy and airflow. These screens provide numerous benefits to the residents, including enhanced privacy, noise reduction, improved comfort, increased security, and promoting outdoor activities. By incorporating personalized and visually appealing elements, we added value to the apartment building, creating a more desirable living environment for all its tenants.
To achieve the desired blackened steel look for the interior foyer, our team at Roy Manufacturing collaborated with Buffalo Welding, leveraging their expertise in aluminum fabrication. After thorough discussions regarding upkeep and maintenance, we identified an aluminum material that perfectly replicated the desired aesthetic while requiring minimal maintenance. The chosen material, #625 Existential Aluminum, from Chemetal, showcased our attention to detail and commitment to finding innovative solutions for our clients. The result was a stunning foyer that exuded elegance and sophistication, welcoming residents and visitors alike.
